Mrs. Alford
I am a native of Walton County. I attended Carver Junior High as a student and that is where my educational interest began. It was my love of music that allowed me to enter the educational field. After I graduated from Monroe Area, I attended Troy State University and later finished my degree at The University of Georgia where I obtained my BMUS for Music Education. I later attended West Georgia University to obtain my certification for ESOL and later obtained my Language Arts certification. In 23 years of teaching, I have taught Elementary General Music, Middle School General Music, Choral Music, English as a Second Language, Language Arts, Band, and have served as a cheerleading coach, drama sponsor and color guard sponsor. I also just recently received my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership at Mercer University. I live in Loganville with my husband Wayne, our son Kholton and our two tiny dogs Dakoda and Gizmo. I look forward to this school year and I look forward to teaching your child.
